ANTARCTIC SPECIALLY PROTECTED AREA (ASPA)
The areas designated as Antarctic Specially Protected Areas (ASPA) are intended to support the objective of comprehensive protection of the Antarctic environment. In order to conserve outstanding environmental, scientific, historic, aesthetic or wilderness values that are located in them, their access is restricted.
