MARTÍN GARCÍA CHANNEL
This name referred to as the extension between the Km 39 of the Río de la Plata (Barra del Farallón) and the Km 0 of the Uruguay River (Punta Gorda Parallel -Km 145.5 of the Río de la Plata-) The channel width between side slopes in the dredged stretches varies from 90 m to 110 metres, from Km 39 to Km 116. Those stretches are dredged to a minimum depth of 10.36 metres (34 feet) referred to the Mean Lower Low Water hydrometric surface of reference (MLLW) From Km 62.3 to Km 64.9, from Km 69.6 to Km 70.2, and from Km 92.8 to Km 94.8 there are hard-bottom seafloors dredged to 11.58 metres (38 feet) referred to MLLW.
