TRAFFIC SEPARATION SCHEME

A) All vessels navigating within the established Traffic Separation Schemes shall navigate in compliance with the Rule-10 of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.  

B) For detailed information about navigation in Turkish Straits and the Sea of Marmara refer to Turkish Straits Navigation Guide.

C) For detailed information about navigation in the Bay of Izmit refer to weekly Notices to Mariners (Week 22/2016 Part 5) and www.didgm.gov.tr.   

D) All vessels navigating in Turkish Straits and the Sea of Marmara shall contact to the relevant Vessel Traffic Services Center via VHF channels given below.

Working:
Sector Kadıköy	: Channel 13
Sector Marmara	: Channel 14
Istanbul Pilot	: Channel 71

E) All vessels navigating in the Bay of Izmit shall contact to the relevant Vessel Trafic Servisces Center via VHF channels given below.

Working:
Sector Yalova	: Channel 18
Darıca Pilot	: Channel 12

F) Foreign warships passing Through Turkish Straits are subject to the Montreux Convention dated 20 July 1936.
