IN CASE OF DISTRESS 
Lake Hjälmaren and Hjälmare canal are not fully 
covered by the Swedish VHF Radio Coastal Network. 
This is important to consider in case of a distress 
within the affected area. A distress signal on VHF 
should always be complemented by other 
international recognized distress signals. 
In areas covered by a mobile telephone network, 
call 112 for contact with a Rescue Co-ordination Centre.
