MAINTAINED CHANNELS

The dredged channels in the approaches to Port Muhammad Bin Qasim
(Ahsan Channel and Phitti Creek) are liable to silting
during the SW Monsoon; the position of the channels may vary
accordingly. The depths are maintained as required. In addition,
buoys are liable to drag and their charted positions should not be
relied upon. For the latest information and details of maximum
permissible draughts/dimemsions for ships using the channels,
Notices to Mariners and Navigational Warnings, issued by the
Pakistan Navy, should be consulted.
