HUMPBACK WHALES

The gulf of Panama is a critical habitat for the
Humpback Whale for migration and breeding, and
for other species of whales feeding throughout the
year. There is a maximum speed limit of 10 knots
during the four most important months, 1 August
to 30 November, northward of latitude 8º00'.0 N.
