CAUTIONS
1.	SURVEY DATA:
Surveys are incomplete in the area. 
Soundings shown within unsurveyed areas, as well as in areas within the 50 meter depth contour for areas using older data, are unreliable and do not fully exclude undiscovered shoals. 
We strongly advise against any navigation in these areas.

2.	SHALLOW AREAS NEAR THE SHORELINE:
On Svalbard only areas deeper than 3 meters are surveyed. 
Close to the shore, there is very often an area that has not been surveyed, or where older data has been used instead of newly surveyed data. 
Due to chart’s scale, such areas are not always very visible on nautical charts.

3.	FRONTS OF GLACIERS:
Limits of glaciers are subject to frequent change. 
In front of glaciers going into the sea, there are major variations in depth conditions from year to year and depths are uncertain. Such area are to be considered as unsurveyed 
This must be taken into account when navigating in these areas.
