It is declared a Protected Natural Area, with the character of a sanctuary the Platanitos Beach, located in the municipality of Compostela, state of Nayarit. The area consists of three core zones and three buffer zones. These areas are considered fragile and sensitive environmental systems, so the general public must abide by the respective Management Program and the provisions contained in the Decree published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on January 8th, 2024. Authorization is required for permitted activities, by the applicable legal provisions.
