It is declared a Protected Natural Area, with the character of a National Park, the area known as Arrecife Alacranes. These areas are considered to be fragile and sensitive environmental systems, therefore, the general public must abide by the respective Management Program and the provisions contained in the Decree published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on June 7th, 2000.
