It is declared a Protected Natural Area, with the character of National Park, the area known as Tulum, located in the municipality of the same name, in the State of Quintana Roo. The area is integrated by a polygon corresponding to the buffer zone. This area is considered a fragile and sensitive environmental system, so the general public must abide by the provisions contained in the Decree published on April 23, 1981 in the Official Journal of the Federation. Currently without a published Management Program.
