DEPTHS AND HEIGHTS (EVRS 07)

Recalculating the depths and heights from the Mean Sea Level of the Baltic Height System (BHS77) into the European Vertical Reference System (EVRS07) and Lithuanian Height System (LHS07), the depth values  on the chart need to be reduced by 0.13 meters (-13 cm) and the heights must be increased by 0.13 meters (+13 cm).


VESSEL TRAFFIC SERVICE

Radio contact by VHF - 16, 9, call sign Klaipeda radio-5;
VHF channels 16, 71, call sign Terminal control.


FORMER MINED AREA, OPENED TO NAVIGATION

Former Mined Areas, opened for navigation. Vessels are not advised to anchor, trawl, dredge, proceed with a stack anchor or conduct other operations near the sea bed, because of danger of mines and other unexploded ordnances may exist.


MILITARY PRACTICE AREA

Area is dangerous to navigation for the period of dangerous operations conduct. The time of dangerous operations conduct and promulgated via NAVTEX 5 days in advance before the commencement of these operations.


FORMER MILITARY PRACTICE AREA (Area No 102)

Vessels are not advised to anchor, trawl, proceed with a slack anchor and carry out other operations near the sea bed, as danger of mines and other explosives exists in this area.


FISHING  NETS

Uncharted fishing nets can be laid in Lithuanian coastal areas inside the 20 m depth contour.


BUTINGE OIL TERMINAL

Only authorised vessels may enter the tanker anchorage,tanker transit area and the terminal are associated with Butiinge Oil Terminal.


EXPLOSIVES DUMPING GROUND

Anchoring, bottom fishing, underwater works and underwater explosions are prohibited in these areas.


SPOIL GROUND

Depths in Spoil Ground Areas may be less than charted.


HISTORIC WRECKS

The sites of historic wreck are protected from unauthorised exploration and interference. Zones of 150 to 500 m in radius have been established around such wrecks.


SUBMARINE CABLE

Anchoring, fishing and any underwater works are prohibited within a safety zone extending 100 m on both sides of the submarine cable.


LITHUANIA - LATVIA MARITIME BORDER

Agreement regarding sea boundary determination is not ratified.
