When a meeting situation is anticipated between a vessel proceeding in Passage 1 and a vessel proceeding in Umaokoshi Passage, the vessel proceeding in Umaokoshi Passage must keep out of the way of the vessel proceeding in Passage 1.

Vessels navigating within Passage 1 and Umaokoshi Passage are subject to port control as indicated by traffic signals made by the Captain of the port. Consult Pub. No. 301, South and East Coasts of Honshu.
