NOTES
1. Related Japan Coast Guard publications are recommended to use.
   Always use the largest scale chart appropriate and keep charts and publications updated.
2. The straight baselines shown on this ENC are based on the provisions of 
   Japanese Law No.30 of 1977 on the Territorial Sea and the Contiguous Zone 
   and the Enforcement Order No.210 of 1977 of Japanese Law No.30 of 1977 on 
   the Territorial Sea and the Contiguous Zone.

CAUTIONS
1. Undiscovered shoals may exist around charted shoals. Mariners are advised to 
   exercise caution.
2. Depths are very changeable at the entrance to river mouths.
   Mariners are advised to exercise caution.
3. Ranges of lights shown on this chart are the least values of either nominal ranges
   or geographic ranges.

NAVIGATIONAL SAFETY
1. Vessels equipped with VHF should maintain contact with Ise Wan or Nagoya Ko Vessel 
   Traffic Service Center (CH16, 156.8MHz) while navigating in the traffic routes,
   approaches to the traffic routes and the adjacent sea area, as information for
   the safety of navigation may be provided by the Center.
2. All vessels of 500 G/T or more are requested to follow the navigational
   instructions below in order to ensure the safety navigation in Ise Wan.
 (1) Southbound or Northbound vessels navigating between the Nagoya-Ko and
     Irago Suido should pass the Ise Wan Light Buoys No 4, No 5 and No 6
     observing them on your port side.
 (2) Southbound or Northbound vessels navigating between the Yokkaichi-Ko and
     Irago Suido should pass the Ise Wan Light Buoys No 4 and No 5 observing
     them on your port side.
3. Designated Route in the Sea Area Near Entrance of Irago Suido Traffic Route
 (1) Vessels intending to navigate southward along Irago Suido Traffic Route should
   - Navigate in the area to the west side of Line a; and
   - Navigate by crossing Line c.
 (2) Vessels that have passed southward through Irago Suido Traffic Route should
   - Navigate in the area to the west side of Line b; and
   - Navigate by crossing Line d.
 (3) Vessels intending to navigate northward along Irago Suido Traffic Route should
   - Navigate in the area to the east of Line b; and
   - Navigate by crossing Line e.
 (4) Vessels that have passed northward through Irago Suido Traffic Route should
   - Navigate in the area to the east of Line a; and
   - Navigate by cross ing Line f.
 (5) For detailed information on the designation tracks, refer to Pub. No.301, South and East Coasts of Honshu.
4. Vessels may be instructed to wait off the traffic route under certain conditions
   (including poor visibility).

SECTION WHERE VESSELS MUST USE THE TRAFFIC ROUTES
  In the case of navigation between Line A and Line B indicated by a broken line,
  vessels must use the whole of Irago Suido traffic route.

POSITION REPORT
(Irago Suido Traffic Route and Adjacent Waters)
  Huge vessels (200m and over in length) and other particular vessels as prescribed by 
  the Maritime Traffic Safety Law, vessels of 130m and over in length and vessels of 
  1,000 G/T and over must report to the Ise Wan Vessel Traffic Service Center 
  when first crossing the position reporting line.
    Items to report.
     a. Vessel's name.
     b. Vessel's position and which position reporting line crossed (abbreviation).
     c. Time of crossing  (J.S.T.)
     d. Overall length of vessel.
     e. Port of destination.
     f. Other relevant information.
       Note: Vessels who have already reported 'Notification of traffic route' should report 
             items a to c only.

(Nagoya Ko and Approaches)
  Vessels should report the following items to the Nagoya Ko Vessel Traffic Service Center:
  1. Details of: vessels required to report, when to report:
   (1) Entering:
      Vessels required to report on:
       - Vessels of 50 m or over in length.
       - Towing/Pushing vessels of 50 m or more in total length.
      When to report:
       - When crossing the Position Reporting Line.
       - If you are anchoring in the Area, 30 minut prior to commencing a movement for underway
	 and also the time upon getting underway.
   (2) Departing:
      Vessels required to report on:
       - Vessels of 50 m or over in length.
       - Towing/Pushing vessels of 50 m or more in total length.
      When to report:
       - 30 minutes before leaving the berth and left the berth.
       - If you are anchoring in the Area, 30 minut prior to commencing a movement for underway
	 and also the time upon getting underway.
  2. Details of means of communications.
   (1) VHF Radio telephone
       Call sign:         Nagoya Harbour Radio
       Calling frequency: CH 16
       Working frequency: CH 13,14,22
   (2) On-board telephone

  3. Items to report.
   (1) Entering:
      a. Vessels name and call sign.
      b. Estimated time of crossing the Position Reporting Line or Leaving
         the berth or anchoring position.
      c. Abbreviated name of Position Reporting Line (NW line or NS line).
      d. Name of berth or anchoring position.
      e. Name of passage to be used (East, West or North Passage).
   (2) Departing:
      a. Vessels name and call sign.
      b. Estimated time of departure.
      c. Name of berth or anchoring position.
      d. Name of passage to be used (East, West or North Passage).
