Pipelines are not always buried and their 
presence may effectively reduce the charted
depth by as much as 2 metres. Where pipelines
are close together,only one may be charted.
Mariners should not anchor or trawl in the 
vicinity of a pipeline; they may risk prosecution
if damage is caused.
