Within this area covered by certain fixed structures,
pipelines and cables have been omitted due to their 
complexity and frequent change. The appropriate larger
scale data should be used within this area.
Production platforms and associated structures,including
tanker moorings, storage tankers and platforms on
pipelines, generally exhibit Mo(U) lights, aircraft
obstruction lights and audible fog signals.
Unauthorized navigation is prohibited within 500 meters
of all such structures, including storage tankers that
can swing about their moorings.
Tankers maneuvering in the vicinity of platforms and
moorings should be given a wide berth.
Uncharted structures, both lit and unlit and submerged
installations, exist in this area that may be marked by buoys.
Additionally, and in accordance with the notices to mariners
issued by the Iranian maritime administration
(Ports and Maritime Organization), the majority of oil and gas
field features have been omitted within the Iranian oilfields.
Mariners are kindly informed that in order to
prevent accidents all ships (irespective of their
size) which are sailing in the Persian Gulf are 
emphatiely requested to obtain the latest NtMs of
this region from UKHO and Pakistan (As the Nav Area
Coordinator of IX) from the following adresses:
www.paknavy.gov.pk & www.ukho.gov.uk and update the
affected charts of the Persian Gulf Region accordingly.
