Chart No 4187 PULO MILOW ANCHORAGE
Topography
1 Little Nicobar Island is covered with dense forest, and swamps, and is mountainous. An unnamed peak formally known as Empress Peak 461m high stands 5½ miles SSE of Sombrero Point 
  at position (7° 21´.6N, 93° 43´.3E) another peak which is 387 m high lies 4.5 cables S. The SE coast forms the NW side of Saint George’s Channel which separates Little and Great Nicobar Island.
2 Meroe Island (7° 31´N, 93° 32´E), which is low, lies 10.6 miles WNW of Sombrero Point; landing on this islet is only possible in the good weather.
3 Treis Island lies 3.9 miles WNW of Sombrero Point with Trak Islet 7 cables farther WNW; there are rocks below water near these islets. There are numerous shallow patches up to a distance of 1.3 miles S of Trak Islet. 
  A 3 cable wide Shallow patch with least depth of 3.2m over it lies 6 cables S of Tries Island. Numerous shallow patches exist 6 cables SE of Tries Island
4 A rock with a depth of less than 3.1m lies about midway between Treis Islet and Sombrero Point it lies 2.2 miles SSW of Sombrero Point.
5 Anchorage may be obtained in a depth of 11m about ¾ mile NE of Trak Islet, but the bottom here is uneven and Tidal Streams are strong.
6 The NW coast of Little Nicobar Island, between Sombrero Point and Pahua, 8.7 miles SW, and the W coast then to Cape Edinburgh, the S point of the island is fringed by coral reef which extends not more than ½ mile offshore.
7 A depth of 18.3m lying 14.5 miles W of Sombrero Point is the outer most of irregular depths NW of Little Nicobar Island.

Pulo Milow Island (7° 24´.3N, 93° 40´.7E), islet fringed with coral reef, lies in a bight between Sombrero Point and Pradhan point WSW.
A light (white framework tower, 14 m in height) (7°24´.50N, 93°41´.42E) is exhibited from a structure on the NE point of Pulo Millow. 
The channel separating Pulo Millow from Little Nicobar, is 4 cables wide between dangers E of the islet but is less on the S side. The reef fringing the islet extends up to 2 cables on its W sides. 

Depths
1 Depths are irregular in the southern part of the channel. Depths of less than 11m lie within 4 cables of Little Nicobar Island, E of Pulo Millow, there is a 
  shallow patch of 7.3m about 5.5 cables ESE another shallow patch of 8.6m lies 1.6 miles SW of Pulo Millow Island Light.

Anchorage
1 Anchorage may be obtained in the channel between Pulo Millow and the coast of Little Nicobar adjacent to Nirupak Point, at depths of about 21m and 27m. The bottom is sand and coral; 
  this anchorage is well sheltered and accessible in all winds. 

Landing
1 Landing can be affected on the E side of Pulo Millow and on the coast off Little Nicobar E and SE of the islet.
2 On the NE side of Little Nicobar Landing can be affected on a sandy beach N or S of the small village of Ilyeha, 1.6 miles SSE of Sombrero Point.
