1 Between Murray Point and Indira Point, 29 miles S, the E coast of Great Nicobar is hilly, wooded to the water’s edge and much indented.
2 Trinkat Champlong Bay, lying between a point 1 mile SE of Murray Point and Kerr Point (7° 13'N, 93° 51'.45E), about 2 miles farther SE, affords good and safe anchorage for large vessels and is completely sheltered from wind and swell during the SW monsoon. It is free from flies and mosquitoes.
3 The NW shore of the bay is rocky and steep, with occasional coral heads extending about 1 cable from the coast. The S shore consists mainly of sandy beach; a conspicuous rock lies 3.8 cables W and another 7.8 cables WSW of Kerr Point. A drying reef fringes the shore W of Kerr Point and a drying coral reef lies 1½ cables offshore between the conspicuous rocks.
4 Elsewhere the bay is free from dangers with depths of about 11m about 2 cables offshore; inside the 5.5m line the coast should be approached with care.
Anchorage

1 Anchorage Ships can anchor with the N entrance point bearing 310°  distant 7 cables in adepth of 51m, the bottom is coral and shell; smaller vessels can anchor inside the 18m  line.
2 Crocodile Creek lies 2.7 miles SSE of Kerr Point. There are mangrove patches near the mouth of the Creek at the head of the bight; fresh water is reported to be obtainable above the tidal limit in this creek.	
3 Laful South Anchorage consists of an open bight on the S side of which lies 5½ miles SSE of Murray Point.  The bight is fringed with a ledge, apparently steep-to, with depths of less than 3.8 m and extending 6.5 cables offshore. 
4 The Anchorage provides shelter from W only and a moderate swell prevails. The coast near the anchorage is fairly steep-to with thick jungle, in which crocodiles are found, which reaches almost down to high water mark.

1 Pigeon Island (7° 04'.82N, 93° 54'.2E), an islet 8.5 miles SSE of Kerr Point lies close off the SE entrance point of an un-surveyed bay reported to be capable of providing sheltered Anchorage for  number of vessels, with depths of 30 m  lies close inshore. The bay is open NE.

2 Tenlaa Bay, 3 miles S of Pigeon Island is well sheltered except NE with depths of 30m near its head; but this Anchorage is narrow and between dangers.

3 A light (white GI trestle tower, 12 m in height) (07°00'.94N, 93°56'.02E) lies at Koltapalm.
