Batti Malv Island (8°50'N, 92° 51'.5E),  lies 17 miles SSE of Car Nicobar and is low near the coast at its NW end; on its W, S and SE sides the rocks rise perpendicularly from the sea. From a distance the island appears wedge-shaped; its upper part is thickly wooded.The island is uninhabited. A light is exhibited from a white metal framework tower, 12 m in height, on the N side. Reefs appear to extend ½ mile from the W and SW sides of the island.

Anchorage may be obtained NW of the island, However it is not recommended.
