Chart No. 4107 INTERVIEW ISLAND

Interview Island (12º 55'N, 92º 42' E) lies 5 miles SW of Cleugh point, Brasse Point which is the NW point of the island lies about 5 miles S of Wales Point. The island is low but rises gradually to a wooded plateau, 
86m high. Nancy Point, the S point of the island, is a rocky pinnacle 5m high. This is the only island in Andaman inhabited by wild elephants. Jarawa aboriginals who are still not friendly with other populace lie on the 
nearby Middle Andaman separated by a creek.

A 5.9 m shoal lies 1¾ miles NE of Brasse Point. A detached 12m shoal lies about 1½ miles W of the middle of the W side island.
	
Interview Island Light (12º 53'.1N, 92º 40'.1 E) is exhibited from a white metal framework tower with black bands and is 12m high. The lighthouse is located on the W extremity of the island. Vessels making landfall 
while approaching the Andaman Islands from Vishakhapatnam may first sight Interview Island Light.
