Bluff Point

1 Bluff Point (13º 28'.2 N, 92º 52'.4 E), 49m high, lying about 2 miles S of Reef Island is fairly prominent. It is bold, cliffy and presents three summits when viewed from SSW. De Berry Rocks, which are conspicuous, lie about ½ mile SW of Bluff Point. A Standard Wreck lies 5 cables S of Bluff point.

2 Mayo Island (That Tikri) (13º 26’ N, 92º 52’.6 E) lies in Duncan Bay, 2.2 miles S of Bluff Point.

Temple Sound

1 Temple Sound (13º 25’.50 N, 92º 51’.00 E), (Taratola Chiro) passage lies between Paget Island (Uttar Tikri)(13º 26’ N, 92º 50’ E) and Point Island (Dakshin Tikri)(13º 24’.5 N, 92º 49’ E)on the NW and Shearme Island 
(Bahar Tikri) (13º 24’ N, 92º 51’E)on the E, it has irregular depths.

2 Bolton Shoal, with least depth of 8.6m lies in the middle of the S approach to Temple sound.

Paget Island

1 Paget Island (Uttar Tikri), 2½ miles, SW of Bluff Point, is 76m high to the tops of trees and except E, is fringed by a reef extending upto 5 cables N from its NE Point. A spit extends about 8 cables N from its NE Point with depth of 4m. A 0.8 patch lies 1.2 mile E of the NE point of the island with a 6.4m patch ½ mile farther NNW. Cliffs about 30m high rise from the SE side of the island. There is a 0.2m patch and rock awash about ¾ mile ESE 
of the NE point of Paget Island.

2 A narrow channel, 1 cable wide, with a least depth of 6.6m in the fairway, separates Paget and Point Islands. A drying reef surrounds Point Island, extending 7 cables N from the N point.
3 Shearme Island (Bahar Tikri) 1 mile SE of Paget Island, is fringed by a reef except in the narrow channel separating from the mainland E.
4 Oldham Rocks 4m high, lie about 4 cables N of Shearme Island.

Anchorage

1 Good anchorage sheltered from all except SW winds may be obtained in depths of about 19.5m with mud and sand, in the centre of Temple Sound about ½ mile S of Paget Island.
2  Anchorage for small vessels, in depths of about 18m is indicated on the chart about 1 mile ENE.

Stuart Point

1 Stuart Point (13º 22'.4 N, 92º 50'.5E), 6.2 miles S of Bluff Point, forms the S entrance point of Cold stream Cove (Reef Inlet), lies between Shearme Island and Stuart point. A 6.9m patch lies at the middle of its entrance point.
2 Vessels entering Temple Sound for recommended anchorage to exercise caution.
