Vadarevu Anchorage - 3008

Vadarevu Light (15° 47'.73N, 80° 24'.61E) is exhibited from a white 30m high circular masonry tower with black bands. 
Vadarevu (15º 47' 44"N, 80º 24' 36"E), is a small fishing village well connected by road to the nearest Railway station Chirala, about 26 miles NNE. There is a conspicuous bungalow, 11m high with flagstaff, NE of it. The East and West Boundary pillars, conspicuous and 5m high stand about 1 mile NE and SW respectively of the conspicuous bungalow. Government of Andhra Pradesh has designated the port of Vadarevu as a Greenfield port and as specialized port for Ship breaking. There is a small port office but hardly any commercial activity presently exists. A number of fishing trawlers of medium and small size operate from here. 
	Anchorage, may be obtained in depth of 10m, mud, about 2 miles SE of the conspicuous bungalow.
Vadarevu is a minor port with fishing being the only activity at present. There are no trade and shipping activities at this port. No facilities are available.
