General information. Tadri (14º 31' N, 74º 21' E), a town stands on the N bank of the Tadri (Aghnashini) River. The minor port lies about 1 mile within river entrance.
Largest vessel. A vessel of 5000 dwt has used the roadstead port.
Storm signals are received but not displayed at the port.

Directions. From seaward the anchorage is approached direct with two beacons, standing well up on a hill 1½ miles E of Tadri Light (14º 31' N, 74º 21' E) (6.113), bearing about 070º.

Useful marks (positioned from Tadri Light):
Rajaman Durg (1¼ miles ESE) a fort, in ruins standing at the SE entrance point of the river. 
Flagstaff (elevation 33 m) 6 cables NE.
Gull Rocks (2 m in height) (4 cables NE).
Kudle Hill(135 m high) (6½ cables NW).
Temple (1¾ miles WNW).

Anchorage can be obtained about 1½ mile SW of Tadri Light, in a depth of 8 m, mud; as shown on the chart.

Dangers. Before entering the port local knowledge is required, the following dangers exist:

Foul ground extends 2½ cables S from Tadri Light.

The river bar is subject to constant silting.

Berths. A wharf and T-shaped pier suitable for small craft is situated 1 mile NE of Tadri Light.
Aghnashini River (Tadri River) is navigable up to Kagal a distance of 12 miles upstream, by small boats with local knowledge.

Supplies: fresh fish and vegetables.

Facilities: Nil
