OMISSION OF CERTAIN NAVIGATIONAL AIDS AND WRECKS
Certain lights, buoys, beacons and wrecks have been omitted from this chart; for details of these, the larger scale charts and the List of Lights should be consulted.

CURRENTS
The currents are of monsoonal origin but tend to follow the trend of the coast. In December and January, the sets are north - westerly with rates of upto 1kn. In July and August, when SW Monsoon is well established, south - easterly sets with rates of upto 2kn are experienced.  Exceptionally, onshore sets of upto 1,5kn are experienced during the NE Monsoon and upto 3kn during the SW Monsoon. For further information see also Sailing Directions, Admiralty Current Atlases etc.
