CURRENTS
The currents are of monsoonal origin and flow predominantly parallel to the coast. NW in December and January and SE for the rest of the year. Rates of upto about 1,5kn may be met during the SW Monsoon and upto about 1kn at other times, for further information see Sailing Directions.
