OMISSION OF CERTAIN NAVIGATIONAL AIDS AND WRECKS

CURRENTS
The currents have a seasonal variation related to the monsoon - from February to September the most frequent set is towards the south-east with the greatest consistancy during June to August; during October currents are variable in direction, but from November to January the most common set is towards the north-west. The speeds of the currents are mostly less than 1 knot, but speeds of about 2 knots occur at times, mainly during July, August and December Exceptionally, the current has a significant on - shore component.
