CURRENTS
The Currents are of monsoonal origin, but tend to follow trend of the coast. In December and January, The sets are north-westerly with rates of upto 1,5 kn. In July and August, when the SW Monsoon is well established, south-easterly sets with rates of upto 2 kn are experienced. Exceptionally onshore sets upto 1,5 knots are experience during the NE Monsoon and upto 3 kn during the SW Monsoon. For further information see Sailing Directions.
