SAFETY FAIRWAYS

An area within which permits are not granted for the erection of oil or gas related structures. The use of safety fairway is not usually mandatory, but iS recommended. Safety fairway in Arabian sea have been promulgated due to increased weather related marine accidents and dense traffic.

RECOMMENDED ROUTE

Recommended routes are shown to assist mariners to navigate safely in order to represent the best routes for crossing trsffic and to minimize head-on encounters in vicinity of Oilfield Development Areas and regulate coastal traffic. Mariners are advised to keep 1 to 2 miles starboard of the shown routes consistent with Rules of the Road.
