TIDAL STREAMS

Tidal streams run strongly between the islands and through most of
the channels depicted. In particular, rates of between 5 and 6 knots
may be experienced in Connel Sound (56° 27´•35N, 5° 23´•40W) and
Kilmaronag Narrows (56° 27´•55N, 5° 21´•75W). Tidal rapids exist
at certain states of the tide at the Falls of Lora (56° 27´•42N,
