1. Following the flood of Darnah on 10th September 2023, significant changes to depths and potential for submerged obstructions may be present within the port and approaches.
2. There is significant change to coastline, shoaling and potential for submerged obstructions at the mouth of Wadi Darnah.
3. It is reported that the navigational channel and entrance to Darnah port has been surveyed and there is a minimum depth of 7·5m. Vessels with a maximum draft of 6·5m may enter the harbour basin.
4. Aids to Navigation are reported to be unreliable and may be missing, unlit or out of position.
5. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution and consult the local authorities for the latest information.
