CURRENTS


Little is known about the non-tidal current regime in the Khawr'Abd Allah.
However, currents are influenced by tidal, wind and particularly river
conditions in this area. It is believed that the current sets S to SE
from February to July due to the freshwater outflow which is greatest
between May and July and least during October and November. During the
dry season, which extends from September to December, the current is
believed to set from E to W across the entrance.
