HARBOUR ENTRANCE - SHOALING

The sands at the mouth of the River Tweed shift so frequently that local
knowledge is advisable to enter Berwick Harbour. The limit of the drying area
north of Spittal Point (55° 45'·68N 1° 59'·59W) is taken from 1981 aerial
photography.
