DEPTHS

The depiction of reefs and dangers within the atoll is based chiefly on satellite imagery and aerial photography. Depths within the atoll are taken almost entirely from a lead line survey of 1905. Mariners are advised to navigate with particular caution as charted shoals may be out of position and uncharted shoals and patches of coral may exit.
