TIDAL STREAMS

Tidal streams run strongly between the islands. Rates of 8 knots have been reported between Grand Jason and the Fridays (51°04'S 61°01'W) and 5 knots in the vicinity of Gibraltar Reef (51°18'S 60°50'W).
