GUIANA CURRENT

A branch of the Guiana Current sets north-westward into the Gulf of Paria through
Serpent's Mouth at rates of 1-3 knots. This current turns north in the gulf and
emerges through Bocas del Dragon to rejoin the main body of the west-going Guiana
Current along the north coast of Trinidad. For further information see Admiralty
