PILOT BOARDING AREA

For vessels bound for Barry, Cardiff, Newport, Avonmouth, Bristol and Sharpness,
pilots board as follows:
(A) Vessels with a draught of 12·5 metres and over at 51°20'·9N 3°23'·3W.
(B) Vessels with a draught of less than 12·5 metres at 51°20'·9N 3°19'·0W.
(C) Certain vessels may be directed by the Harbour Authorities to a boarding
position at 51°21'·5N 3°15'·5W.
Pilots normally disembark to the east of Merkur light buoy (51°21'·88N,
3°15'·94W).
