CORAL PINNACLES

Due to the incomplete nature of the surveys mariners
are warned that uncharted coral pinnacles may exist.
Aerial photography has been used extensively for the
delineation of reef edges and submerged coral patches.
Around Vatulele Island (18°32´S, 177°40´E) in
particular aerial photography indicates that additional
coral pinnacles exist over which depths are uncertain.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution and only
then in conditions under which reefs may be most
clearly seen.
