CURRENTS

Currents are generally weak and their sets vary seasonally, being mainly north-westerly between June and September and south-easterly from November to April. Local eddies may occur, having onshore sets, whose rates increase as water becomes shoaler. Consult Admiralty Sailing Directions for further information.
