AUSTRALIAN EXCLUSIVE ECONOMIC ZONE (EEZ)

The outer limit of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) around the
Australian mainland, islands and all external territories is 200
miles seaward from the territorial sea baseline. In those areas
where the territory of neighbouring countries is less than 400
nautical miles distant, with either delimitation agreements in
place or interim median line limits, the outer limit of the
exclusive economic zone is adjusted to conform. See Australian
