The currents below the Iroquois Dam may vary in speed and direction
depending on the number and position of closed or partially closed gates in the
dam.

The flow patterns indicated should be used as a guide only and mariners are
advised to refer to pertinent Seaway Notices. Information concerning settings of
the control dam, OTHER THAN NORMAL, will be broadcast by the Traffic Control
Centre, "Seaway Iroquois".
