The Provisions on Navigation Safety Administration of Shanghai Yangshangang Deep Water Port Area and Approaches(China MSA[2019]No 11)shall come into force on September 1, 2019 and be valid for 5 years. At the same time, the Provisions on Navigation Safety Administration of Shanghai Yangshangang Deep Water Port Area and Approaches, which came into effect on December 1, 2005, shall be repealed.
1. The appendix to the Provisions on Navigation Safety Administration of Shanghai Yangshangang Deep Water Port Area and Approaches shall have the same effect as the text. If there is any change in the appendix, the competent authority shall make an announcement in the form of NMs, Navigational Warning, etc.
2. The following vessels and facilities shall, before 16:00 every day, report to the maritime administration authorities under their jurisdiction the plan of berthing, leaving or passing the Donghai Bridge the next day:
(1)Ships for international navigation;
(2)Passenger ships;
(3)A fleet of tugboats or a combination of pusher vessels and barges;
(4)Oil tankers with a gross tonnage of 500tons and above, bulk chemical carriers, liquefied gas carriers;
(5)Other domestic vessels with a gross tonnage of 1000tons and above.
3. Vessels equipped with automatic identification system (AIS) equipment and very high frequency radio telephones (VHF) shall be properly used or listened to in accordance with regulations.
4. Vessels shall report in accordance with regulations when passing the reporting line and reporting point of Yangshan VTS.
5. "Large vessel" means a vessel with a gross tonnage of 3000tons and above.
6. "Very large Container vessel" means a container vessel with a maximum container carrying capacity of more than 16000 TEU.
