Ships Routing of Ningbo-Zhoushan Core Port Area DW Channel and Vessel Reporting of Ningbo-Zhoushan Core Port Area DW Channel came into force since 1 August 2016. 
1. Applicable provisions of Ships Routing of Ningbo-Zhoushan Core Port Area DW Channel£º
(1) Vessels should comply with the provisions on traffic separation scheme contained within 1972 COLREGS.
(2) Vessels, operating within the waters of traffic separation scheme, are obliged to take the liabilities as prescribed in 1972 COLREGS in case of any collisions. 
(3) Vessels are prohibited from anchoring or fishing within the precautionary area, separation zone, traffic lanes and waters in the vicinity of their terminals.
(4) Vessels do not use the traffic separation scheme should keep off the waters. 
2. Applicable provisions of Vessel Reporting of Ningbo-Zhoushan Core Port Area DW Channel£º
(1) Relevant vessels: passenger vessels, foreign vessels, installations, vessels carrying dangerous cargo, vessels or installations with restricted maneuverability due to conducting towing activities, Chinese vessels of 300t or over, and vessels less than 300t voluntarily joining the reporting system. 
(2) Facts to be reported: 
A    vessel, call sign(CS) and IMO number (if applicable);
C/D  position (geographical against land marks);
E    course;
F    speed;
G    last port;
I    destination;
O    draft;
Q    deficiencies and restrictions (tow boats should report towing length and articles towed);
DG   dangerous cargo;
U    overall length and tonnage. 
(3) Besides advising the facts as above required, vessels bound for the core port area should also report their manoeuvre, type, actual maximum draft to Ningbo VTS. 
  Vessels, approaching the core port area from Mazhi anchorage or Yeyashan anchorage through Xiazhimen Hangdao or Tiaozhoumen Hangdao, should report 15 minutes before entering No 1 precautionary area or No 7 precautionary area of the ships routing. Vessels intending to cross coastal bridges, such as Jintang bridge or Xihoumen bridge should report their height over surface, deadweight tonnage and titles of the navigational openings to pass through 30 minutes in advance.
