NAUTICAL SIGNALING ON THE GUAÍBA RIVER: 
The navigator must pay attention to the existence along the river of nautical signs not represented in the Nautical Chart.

CURRENTS: 
The  current  on  the  Guaíba  River  is  usually  in  the  direction  of  Lagoa  dos Patos.  Eventually,  after  prolonged  periods  of  S quadrant  winds, weak currents  in  the  opposite  direction  may  occur.
