AREA TO BE AVOIDED: Existence of oil and gas production platforms, submarine pipelines, mooring buoys and an intense movement of supply vessels in the area of Campos Oilfield and Jubarte field. In order to avoid the risks of collision, pollution and damages to the environment, that area has been designated by the International Maritime Organization as an 'Area To Be Avoided'. Ships not involved in support activities to oil and gas production and prospection shall avoid sailing within that area.
