Existence of oil and gas production platforms, submarine pipelines, mooring buyos and an intense movement of supply vessels in the area of Golfinho Field. In order to avoid the riskis of collision, pollution and damages to the environment, that area has been designated by the Internacional Maritime Organization as an "Area to be avoided". Ships not involved in support activities to oil and gas production and prospection shall avoid sailing within that area.
