THE NARROWS

The stream through Eastern Entrance attains a
rate of 5-6 knots in The Narrows. Vertical
clearance is 18m for the overhead power cables
and 12m for the bridge. Passage is prohibited
for boats unless masts can be stepped to the
required level.
